Taste: Sweet mild flavour with a firm, flakey finish. They are considered by many as the “ultimate fried fish” and we recommend deep-frying or searing in a hot pan.
Yellow perch is often in limited supply because it is one of the most prized freshwater fish in Ontario. They are a smaller fish with fillets ranging from 15 – 30g (0.5 – 1oz) and come vac-sealed in 8 – 10oz packs.
Caught by independent fishermen and women in Lake Erie. It’s a wild fishery recognized as sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council, which means it’s good for the environment and safe to eat. Read reviews.
Please note: These perch may contain bones. They are too small to debone, however bones are small and can dissolve in high-temperature frying.
So fresh it’s frozen. We humanely harvest, fillet, individually vac-pack and freeze within a day. Stays fresh for 6 months. Read reviews
